Instantel has taken the experienced technology of its leading BlastMate and MiniMate seismographs and designed the VODMate, a velocity of detonation recorder, which provides 2 MHz sampling and 12 or 14-Bit resolution; you get precise data, whether you're analyzing explosives performance or precision detonators.

The VODMate installs fast with quick and simple sensor cable connections using standard wire strippers. Cable parameters are measured automatically and length is displayed directly so you know your setup is correct. Sensitivity is optimized for each cable for maximum readability.

The Advanced Windows Analysis software with specialized signal processing techniques allow for direct display of velocity, with little or no interpretation of readings. And with zoom capabilities velocity analysis over small sections of the overall reading are a snap.

The VODMate has a long battery life, a unique timer mode, and the capability for multiple event storage in 4 MBs of non-volatile memory, so you get to measure and keep data reliably. The VODMate is available in one or two channel models in an ultra-small 1.5 kg (3.3 lb) case.
